Description

In this collection of my images, the objects shown in a large mosaic of the constellation Cepheus, are collected together. There are indicator lines to show the actual location of object in a large context. As can be seen, I have shot many objects in various focal lengths.

The Cepheus project was my last image before the major break down of my imaging equipment. Damages are very bad and there are other issues too with optics etc...

After a careful study of damages in my scope, I found out, that not only the Ra motor controller card was toasted. Also the motherboard, Ra motor and its encoder are burned and partly smelted too. Due to location and somehow polluted air, the main mirror is exposed under a heavy corrosion by sulfur acid at past 15 years. There is no point to invest any more money or time to this equipment, so at the moment I'm out of any imaging gears : (

I never have had any fancy gears, the old Meade LX200 GPS 12" was converted to an imaging scope by lots of work, DIY-solutions, imagination and some technical skils. I can't afford to buy any real imaging system with a good mount. I'm looking some other options right now to find some used gears to keep going. An used Meade LX200 GPS 14" could be perfect for me, since it can be converted to a f2 astrograph by using the HyperStar system. After all, I have lots of experience working with very fast optical configurations and I know the issues at that area.
